Original Continental Silao. Manages solenoid power drivers inside WABCO EBS modulators (480 103 / 104 / 105). Not a pull. Not a remark. New, sealed production stock.
P/N: 446 130 028 & 446 130 029 · Manufacturer: Continental Silao
Understanding the architecture prevents misdiagnosis. The 8945125484 is a Power Driver ASIC — it controls the power stage, not the solenoids directly.
The 8945125484 manages the power supply rails inside the WABCO EBS modulator. It regulates voltage, controls enable/disable gates, and protects against overcurrent and thermal events. When this chip fails, the ECU loses stable power — causing CAN errors, sensor faults, or complete modulator dropout.
The individual inlet/outlet solenoids are switched by BTS high-side drivers (BTS621, BTS724, etc.). This ASIC provides the power architecture that feeds those BTS drivers. Do not confuse the two — replacing BTS chips for a 8945125484 failure, or vice versa, will not fix the fault.
Faults pointing to CAN communication loss with modulator, supply voltage out of range,
or internal electronics failure in WABCO TOOLBOX are the primary indicators of a failed 8945125484.
If solenoid-specific faults (e.g., individual valve open/short) are present alone, check BTS drivers first.

* Always confirm your modulator P/N starts with 480 103, 480 104, or 480 105 before ordering. Not sure?
Remarked pull chips and clones look identical on the outside — but fail within weeks. Know how to tell the difference before you install anything.
Used chips pulled from scrap ECUs are often thermally cracked and coated to hide damage. Buying "cheap" reused chips means installing a part that will fail again. We sell ONLY new, never-soldered NOS units — sealed Continental Silao supply chain.
Step 1 — Resistance test: Using a multimeter in resistance mode, probe the designated test pads on the chip. Authentic 8945125484 reads 8.2 kΩ ± 5%. Values outside this range indicate a damaged or clone chip.
Step 2 — Visual marking check: Authentic Continental Silao chips have laser-engraved text — edges are sharp under 10× magnification. Reprinted fakes show ink bleed or double-print artifacts.
Step 3 — Pin inspection: All 44 pins (or relevant count) must be coplanar. Any bent, oxidized, or flux-contaminated pins indicate a pull chip.
Step 4 — Functional test: After installation, verify with WABCO TOOLBOX — all supply voltages should be in nominal range and no internal electronics faults should remain.

Real objections from real technicians — answered straight.
Two independent methods to verify before you even solder anything:
1. Resistance test: A genuine 8945125484 reads 8.2 kΩ ± 5% between the designated test pads. This is a factory-defined parameter. Measure with a digital multimeter before installation.
2. Marking inspection: Continental Silao uses laser engraving — not printing. Under a 10× loupe, the text edges are sharp and slightly recessed. Fakes use inkjet or thermal transfer — edges bleed or show pixel artifacts.
Our chips come from sealed original production stock, never removed from a PCB. You can also compare photos of the markings with the reference shots in the Fakes section above.
The chip works on any truck using a WABCO EBS modulator with P/N starting 480 103, 480 104, or 480 105. The modulator number is the authoritative check — not the truck brand.
Confirmed vehicle families:
| Mercedes-Benz | Actros MP2 / MP3 (2002–2011) |
| MAN | TGA / TGS / TGX (2000–2014) |
| Volvo | FH / FM Gen2–Gen3 (2002–2012) |
| DAF | CF / XF 95 / XF 105 (2001–2013) |
| Scania | P / G / R Series (2003–2013) |
| Iveco | Stralis AS / AT / AD (2002–2012) |
| Renault | Premium DXi (2005–2013) |
If your truck is not in this list or you are unsure:
This is a surface-mount ASIC (TQFP package). Required equipment:
| Software | WABCO TOOLBOX 12 or later (for pre/post diagnostic) |
| Rework station | Hot air + regulated iron (recommend 350°C max on lead-free) |
| Flux | No-clean flux — mandatory for TQFP rework |
| Solder | 63/37 tin-lead or SAC305 lead-free |
| Multimeter | For resistance verification pre-installation |
| Microscope / loupe | 10× minimum for pin inspection post-solder |
If you do not have SMD rework experience, we recommend having an electronics repair shop install the chip. Bridged pins on a TQFP are recoverable but require skill.
We offer a 30-day replacement guarantee. If the chip is defective on arrival or fails within 30 days under normal use, we send a replacement at no cost.
Important: the guarantee covers chip defects. If the fault code remains after installation, it may indicate a different failed component (BTS driver, pressure sensor, CAN line). We recommend confirming the root cause with WABCO TOOLBOX before installation.
